Fixture & Appliance Plumbing in Colorado Springs

Dripping faucets, running toilets, garbage disposal problems, and leaking appliance connections — we repair and replace the everyday plumbing fixtures your home depends on.

Everyday plumbing problems can be frustrating, waste water, and sometimes lead to damage if they're left unresolved. Father and Sons Plumbing & Drain repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures and appliance connections throughout Colorado Springs.

Whether you have a toilet that won't stop running, a faucet that keeps dripping, a garbage disposal that isn't working properly, or a leaking water connection to an appliance, we'll diagnose the problem and explain your options before approved work begins. When a repair makes sense, we'll repair it. When a fixture is worn out or replacement is the better option, we'll explain why and help you determine what makes sense for your home.

Toilet Repair & Replacement

Running toilets, weak or incomplete flushes, leaking tanks, loose toilets, and failed wax rings are all common problems we repair. We also replace toilets when the existing fixture is damaged, worn out, or replacement makes more sense than continued repairs.

We'll diagnose the problem first and explain whether the toilet can reasonably be repaired or whether replacement may be the better option.

  • Running toilets
  • Toilets that won't flush properly
  • Leaks between the tank and bowl
  • Water around the base of the toilet
  • Loose or rocking toilets
  • Fill valve and flapper problems
  • Failed wax rings
  • Cracked tanks or bowls

Faucet Repair & Replacement

A dripping faucet isn't just annoying — it can waste water and may be a sign of a worn cartridge, seal, washer, or another internal component.

We repair and replace kitchen, bathroom, utility, and bar faucets. Depending on the faucet and the condition of its components, we may be able to repair the existing fixture or replace it when repair isn't practical. If you've already purchased a replacement faucet, we can also install it and make sure the water connections, shut-off valves, and fixture are properly connected and checked for leaks.

  • Kitchen faucets
  • Bathroom faucets
  • Utility faucets
  • Bar faucets
  • Single-handle faucets
  • Two-handle faucets

Garbage Disposal Service

A garbage disposal that hums but won't spin, leaks, repeatedly trips its reset, or makes unusual grinding noises may need repair or replacement.

We'll evaluate the disposal and determine whether the problem can reasonably be repaired or whether replacement makes more sense. We also install replacement garbage disposals and connect them to the existing sink and drain system.

  • Disposal hums but won't spin
  • Disposal won't turn on
  • Water leaking beneath the disposal
  • Repeatedly tripped reset
  • Unusual grinding or rattling noises
  • Drainage problems around the disposal

Sink & Fixture Plumbing

We repair and replace the plumbing components around kitchen and bathroom sinks, including P-traps, supply lines, shut-off valves, drains, faucets, and related connections.

If you're replacing fixtures or making updates to a kitchen or bathroom, we can also install customer-supplied sinks, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures that are within our scope of work.

  • Sink installation and replacement
  • P-trap and drain repairs
  • Shut-off valve replacement
  • Faucet installation
  • Water supply line replacement
  • Toilet installation
  • Shower and bathroom fixture plumbing

Dishwasher Plumbing Connections

Dishwashers depend on properly installed water supply and drain connections. A leaking supply line, shut-off valve, or drain connection can cause water damage beneath the sink or inside nearby cabinets.

We install and repair the plumbing connections associated with dishwashers, including water supply lines, shut-off valves, and connections to the kitchen drainage system. For appliance-specific electrical, mechanical, or electronic problems, an appliance repair technician may be required.

  • Dishwasher water supply connections
  • Leaking dishwasher supply lines
  • Dishwasher shut-off valves
  • Drain hose plumbing connections
  • Plumbing preparation for replacement dishwashers

Refrigerator & Ice Maker Water Lines

Refrigerators with ice makers or water dispensers require a reliable water supply connection. Small leaks behind a refrigerator can go unnoticed and may damage flooring, cabinets, or surrounding materials.

We install and replace refrigerator and ice-maker water supply lines, repair leaking connections, and replace accessible shut-off valves when needed.

  • New refrigerator water supply lines
  • Ice-maker water connections
  • Leaking refrigerator supply lines
  • Aging or damaged supply tubing
  • Refrigerator shut-off valve replacement
  • Connections for replacement refrigerators

Washing Machine Connections

Washing machines rely on hot and cold water supply lines, shut-off valves, and a properly connected drain. Aging hoses, leaking valves, and damaged connections can allow water to escape behind or around the machine.

We repair and replace accessible washing-machine plumbing connections and can help prepare the plumbing when a washer is being replaced or relocated.

  • Hot and cold water supply lines
  • Washing machine shut-off valves
  • Leaking hose connections
  • Drain connection problems
  • Plumbing connections for replacement washers
  • Laundry plumbing modifications when applicable

What to Expect on a Fixture Service Call

When we arrive, we'll evaluate the problem and explain what we find in plain language. If repair or replacement is needed, we'll explain your options and give you a flat-rate price before approved work begins.

We carry commonly used plumbing parts and components on our trucks, which allows us to complete many fixture repairs during the initial visit. If a specific part or fixture needs to be ordered, we'll explain that before moving forward. Once the work is complete, we'll test the repair or installation and clean up our work area before we leave. There's no service call fee just for us to come out and evaluate the problem.

Fixture & Appliance FAQs

Do you repair toilets or only replace them?
We do both, and we'll give you an honest assessment of which makes more sense for your situation. Many toilet problems — running toilets, flapper failures, fill valve issues, wax ring leaks — are straightforward repairs. If the tank or bowl is cracked, or if the toilet is old enough that repeated repairs are likely, we'll explain why replacement may be the better value.
Can you install a faucet I already purchased?
Yes. We install customer-supplied faucets regularly. Before purchasing, make sure the fixture matches your sink's hole configuration — single-hole, three-hole, or widespread. If you're not sure, we can advise you before you buy. We'll let you know during the visit if anything unexpected comes up that affects the installation.
Do you install customer-supplied toilets?
Yes. If you've already purchased a toilet, we can install it and make sure the wax ring, supply line, shut-off valve, and connections are all properly set up. We'll test for leaks before we leave.
Do you repair garbage disposals?
Yes, when repair is practical. A disposal that hums but won't spin, trips its reset repeatedly, or leaks from the bottom can often be repaired. If the motor has failed or the unit is old enough that replacement makes more sense, we'll explain that and give you a price for both options.
Can a plumber connect a dishwasher?
Yes — the plumbing side of a dishwasher installation is our work. We handle the water supply line, shut-off valve, and drain connection to the kitchen drainage system. If the dishwasher has electrical or mechanical problems unrelated to the plumbing connections, an appliance repair technician would handle that portion.
Do you install refrigerator and ice-maker water lines?
Yes. We install new supply lines for refrigerators being connected for the first time, replace aging or damaged tubing, and repair leaking connections. We can also replace the shut-off valve behind the refrigerator if it's corroded or no longer sealing properly.
Can you replace washing-machine shut-off valves?
Yes. Washing machine shut-off valves are one of the more common sources of water damage in homes — they can corrode or fail to close fully over time. We replace the hot and cold valves behind the machine and can also replace aging rubber supply hoses with braided stainless steel lines while we're there.
Do you charge a service call fee?
No. There is no service call fee to come out and evaluate your fixture or appliance problem. You'll receive a flat-rate price after the diagnosis, and you decide whether to proceed. If you choose not to move forward, you owe nothing for the visit.
What areas around Colorado Springs do you serve?
We serve Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities, including Fountain, Manitou Springs, Monument, Black Forest, Falcon, Peyton, Security-Widefield, Cimarron Hills, and Woodmoor. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call.
