How did you get into plumbing?

I started as a helper right out of high school and just fell in love with the trade. There's something satisfying about diagnosing a problem nobody else could figure out and fixing it cleanly. Fifteen years later, I still get that feeling on every job.

What's the most common issue you see in Colorado Springs homes?

Hard water is a big one out here — it wears down fixtures and water heaters faster than people realize. We also see a lot of aging main lines in older neighborhoods. Catching those early saves homeowners a lot of money.

What's your approach when you walk into a job?

I listen first. Homeowners usually know something is off before they can explain exactly what. I take their observations seriously, do a thorough inspection, and give them a straight answer about what's going on and what it'll take to fix it.

What do you enjoy most about working for Father and Sons?

The culture. Jo runs a tight, honest operation. We don't upsell people on things they don't need, we don't cut corners, and we treat every home like it's our own. That's rare in this industry and it's something I'm proud to be part of.
